Administrative and Marketing Assistant

We are looking for a core employee with the ability and the adaptability to grow with us. The main focus of this position is administrative, assisting owners in managing and developing the business.

Job Description.

The individual we seek will help manage our studio, office and overall operations and assist with marketing efforts. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person with experience working within a small business team. 

 

The right candidate will possess excellent communication, planning, organizing and tracking skills; will have a friendly and positive attitude; be engaging; have a community building, marketing and business orientation; strong problem-solving abilities; be comfortable with data entry; have experience with general accounting tasks and the ability to wear many hats and prioritize.

 

We seek an individual who has had exposure and is aware of the arts and has an interest in arts business development. The person we are seeking will have a bachelor's degree with 2 years of office management experience and administrative or other relevant experience. 


Qualified Applicants will have:

• A background that includes office management, customer service, marketing and a business development orientation

• Experience in business operations

• The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and through written communication

• Good customer service and phone skills 

• Good computer skills 

• Experience with Mac system-based office equipment

• Ease and accuracy with data entry tasks

• Proficiency with Word and Excel; some familiarity with Quickbooks

• The ability to prioritize project tasks, manage time efficiently, and work independently 

• Ease in handling interruptions

• The ability to multi-task and respond in an occasionally fast-paced office; stay on task and answer and respond to students and members

• Ease in updating social media platforms

• Excellent problem-solving skills 

• The ability to work under the pressure of deadlines

• Good manual dexterity

• The ability to bend, reach and lift 30 lbs comfortably

• Ease with being on their feet, traversing distances within the studio at a moment's notice

• Flexibility for occasional evening & weekend hours

Compensation: $13.50/hour during training

Part-time, 16-20 hours/week
